ALL STREETS

About All Streets

Who we are and how the numbers are checked.

Who publishes this

All Streets is published by North Coast AI LLC. It answers questions about U.S. street names with counts we compute from the Census Bureau's TIGER/Line Feature Names files, with sample Census rows and the counting method on every page. We aren't affiliated with the Census Bureau.

How it's checked

Our checker re-finds every quoted Census definition in the TIGER/Line technical documentation and re-downloads the county files behind every sample row to confirm each row is still there with the same values. The counts come from the files we downloaded and recorded by sha256; the site build stops if that data file changes without a new check. Pages were researched and built with AI assistance.

Census Bureau: TIGER/Line Feature Names files (one per county)3,234 county files counted; 73 sample rows re-readOctober 14

Our take written by All Streets

The two checks cover different things. The definitions quoted on every page are re-found in the Census technical documentation, and the sample rows are re-read from the county files, so the fields and labels a page relies on still match the Census. The counts themselves come from the files we downloaded, pinned by sha256, so a page's numbers don't change between checks.

When the Census publishes a new edition of the files, the counts are recomputed from it and every page is rebuilt from the new data.

Our reading of the counts on this page. It adds no facts of its own.
