Our take written by All Streets
Every question on this list counts the same unit, one Census linear feature with a primary name on a secondary road or local street, so the numbers on different pages can be read together. A street counted on the Main and Second page is counted the same way on the suffix page and the state page.
The questions differ in what they group by: the base name, the suffix or prefix type, the direction, the road class or the state. Each page shows its own sample rows from the Census files and the same method note.
Our reading of the counts on this page. It adds no facts of its own.
